Uffa Fox designed Flying Fifteen keelboat #1561 built 1973 by Vectis Marine in GRP £1500 ono
Ready to sail with a painted dark blue hull, white decks and gold anodised spars.
My client has the measurement certificate and some history with the boat, the boat has enjoyed successful racing on Rutland and Middle Nene.
This Flying Fifteen keelboat comes with a good condition road trailer with a winch system for recovery and new spare wheel
Front and aft bouyancy tanks also have fitted bouyancy bags installed and under the side decks there are additional bouyancy bags held in place with bungee netting
Centre main sheet from a central point, controls set up for both crew and single handed sailing
2 sets of sails including 2 Spinnakers (club racing and cruising condition)
Spinnaker pole stored on mast, roller reefing jib
New ash tiller 2010, mast up cockpit cover with sail number lettering
Running rigging (good to fair condition), standing rigging (unknown year but good condition)
2 fenders, oars included as well as a small sized adult bouyancy aid, ratchet straps and mast crutch for aft deck when in transit or storage.
The hull is sound and the boat has been updated over the years. Cosmetically the paintwork is in need of restoration but this in no way prevents the boat from being ready to sail. She has been used mostly on Rutland Water for the last five years and it is understood that she was used and kept at Derwent Water previously with only one venture round the Solent in known memory. The trailer is roadworthy and the cockpit controls thoughtfully laid out. If you were fussy you could have rubbing strakes re-installed or the holes filled. The price reflects the paintwork condition and the possibility of a program for updating sails and rigging that could make this boat a great racer again,
Prior to present ownership she was called 'fFemme'.
